Thread regarding Best Buy layoffs

A tough fourth quarter is to be expected

This company looks desperate. I can already see the leadership blaming the bad results on pandemic, inflation, whatever, although in my opinion they only have themselves to blame. Isn't that so?
I hope you are all polishing your resumes and looking for better options.

Terminated today with almost 8 years at Best Buy, with a spotless record of no write ups, nothing. Consistent top seller and huge returning customer base. I could work almost anywhere in the store, CS, HS, Appliances, whatever.
"We're a family" is bullsh-t. Profits are the only thing that matter. If you're working at Best Buy right now, you better be careful. Corporate doesn't give a cr-p about you.

Yea the corporate leadership at this company is a joke. Rich, pompous, and out of touch.
