Thread regarding Amazon.com layoffs

Bail out - the grass is greener in the public sector

I quit 6 months ago, I got a sweet job in the public sector. We have a guaranteed defined-benefit pension with great health benefits, no overtime, no stress, and a very moderate work-load. Public sector jobs are secure, since the various city/state/education organizations all have monopolies on their services. It's also easy for the public sector to raise taxes/fees/tuition when budgets are tight, so layoffs are quite rare.
Best wishes to all of you !

This thread is laughable. Amazon IS in the public sector. I’m never surprised how d-mb some people are.

We envy you. You get job security and the opportunity to sadistically laugh while screwing us (and maybe yourself?) over.
