My coworkers have many complaints about the work ethics of most newbies. But should they really be blamed for not allowing themselves to be squeezed like we are? I don't think they should be.

I guess I am at the weird store. Our store manager, and all three assistants have been here at least ten years, as well as the half dozen or so full timers.
We started seeing the lack of effort by SOME newbies long ago. It appears to be a responsibility thing, or lack thereof. If you don't care about your fellow employees, you'll slack off. I've seen it from kids and 25 year veterans. Whatever on the BEING SQUEEZED business. You are putting up with it. That damn Additional duties thing. I just know back when there was a team, I liked working with folks I could trust to get things done . We had some really good newbies as well.
