Thread regarding Coupa Software layoffs

Test infrastructure keeps getting worse and worse

just so some pencil pusher can award themself a performance bonus for "right-sizing".
Hours and hours of dev time wasted on figuring out which component of a multi-service workflow has gone to sh-t this time, week after week. More hours of manager time to escalate this stuff, because otherwise the chance of anything being fixed goes from low to zero.
Hours and hours of dev time wasted on making tests work again, or proving that it's an infra issue and not a code issue, under post-apocalypse levels of resource rationing conditions, for which any customer would have long raised a P1.
They keep yapping about shift left when really the fundamental approach of this company is "push more problems (right) to the grunts".
Now excuse me while I attend yet another redundant mandatory GenAI training session so another pencil pusher can get their performance bonus for onboarding AI.
