Have you heard any news/rumor?
When and who will make the list this time? VP+?

@p3 That I don’t know! I was just told end of last month what was going to take place. I can tell you that VP’s have been joining team meetings as one offs to discuss AI everything! That is your hint and breadcrumbs your VP is checking on all of you through your direct report. It’s expected from top down they sit in on team meetings at least once. I’m assuming this month and next month they will start working on them.
@nj so who is going to create the list? VP? And by when will the list be created?
@d4 you’re right but wrong at the same time. It’s not 5K more people. It is 2,700 to be exact! Focus is on those not using AI the way the company expects of you. Top down whisperers.
@dx this is very true and factual. Your VP’s will be making the list. You’ll more than likely be seeing them on your team calls this quarter more than usual throwing bread crumbs about AI. That is the hint. . If you are not finding ways to use AI beyond just your basic usage of it, you’re gonna be on that list. Cisco wants nothing but AI adopters.
VP’s will be making the list this time and they are checking them twice for who is naughty or nice using AI! This rounds of LR’s coming up in August will be solely based on your usage of AI and how you are using AI today. Not just your everyday log in, log out! But also what you are doing with it in terms of trying to find ways to automate your work. That’s what came from a few top down whisperers. 2K to be cut next. Affecting all regions.
Good luck to all who care.
I don’t think most of the audience here understand sarcasm
The HR AI agent is now transferring impacted employees into opened roles so LRs will be sunset at the end of FY26
Don’t worry, Fran said in a recent interview that 75% of the impacted positions be filled internally within the two month period
@d4 any of you know when and which leadership level will make the list?
I heard (from an unreliable source) that VP+ will make one in the last week of July.
This is 100% confirmed already. It's pretty simple math. Chuck announced during the earnings call that $1B was set aside for LR. Only $450M was used in Q4 though, to lay off 4000 people. The remaining $550M will be used next round in August Q1 and that's money for about 5000 people.
@ba I mean so does every single other company. companies are not required to lay people off only have layoff announcements.
I know many Cisco employees who were laid off before the latest LR announcement. Cisco quietly lays off people all the time.
