Just keep Sr managers directly reporting to Sr Directors. We are top heavy with people being managers only with one person reporting to them. it’s a joke

@OP VZ just did a level up two years ago and every managers become Snr Manager and Snr Manager becomes Associated Dir. :)

@jr well my AD is same as other buckets you described.. promoting themselves while doing nothing.
As an AD that works hard to assist my Team and not playing politics, I can tell you all that the role of Sr. Dir, AVP can be easily replaced by AI. That layer of the organization spend 80% of their time to cheerlead and promoting themselves with no focus on the business itself whatsoever.

Remove all AD and VP roles. AD was a made-up roles to give the illusion of being promoted, when you really aren't. VP is just a useless role altogether, IMO

Sr. Managers and associate directors are both completely useless.

Um what exactly does a Sr. manager do? They seem as clueless as the supervisor in my division….
Verizon is run by ADs and Directors, company will become trash if they are not there with expertise to support working teams and leadership teams
