Hey, guys wondering which orgs should I consider transferring too. I want know which STS are green or red flags. I’m currently an associate engineer with continued meet standards in CET,RWT and I keep getting things blocked due to budget related stuff. I’m tired of my org not evaluating me fairly so I’ll be applying around again.

I had a similar thing happen to me when I was an associate software developer back when Schwab decided to buy a bunch of long term treasuries when the fed said they were raising interest rates back in 2023. My promotion was blocked for around a year and I got a terrible raise and bonus. I learned to stop giving a fu-k. You will only get a 10% raise for the promotion which isn't worth the effort. I would recommend looking externally if that's an option but if not then just collect a paycheck and try to build other streams of income. Don't go above the scope of your role and burn yourself out.
You have the right plan. Look and leave should a better opportunity present. Promotions are need and not backfill, resourcing is moving to AI, offshore and more from fewer. Leaving is solid. Coming back is a frequent way to climb although I don’t recommend it anymore.
It's fairly easy to go from level 54 to 57 as long as your manager and you are on the same page. If you think your manager is throwing abnormal reasons against it, talk to the skip level director and see if it helps. If it doesn't work, I think you need to find a good role internally somewhere else or outside of Schwab. Good luck!
Probably best to look outside Schwab. You seem to have too much ambition to fit in. You will find the same attitude you experienced almost everywhere. You are a threat to all the losers.
It’s not like that outside of CET
