If you came in from an acquired company, was your time at the acquired company counted toward your severance? Came into NetApp via SolidFire and I want to know if my pre-NetApp time should be counted.

@aq sorry i should have been clearer: thats what HR gave me when I asked :) I literally have no current contract actually with netapp.

Well here is a wrinkle: I was brought in via acquisition to, I recently tried to track down my current contract and guess what? I sort of don't have one! All I have on file is my original contract with a company that no longer exists! Probably should be scared ;)
Depends which country you’re in. You should check your contract.
