Thread regarding PayPal layoffs

Nasty behaviour dragging this madness out trying to ruin the morale of the whole place

Announcing thousands of layoffs and then dragging it out as long as possible is just disgusting and completely demoralising. They really don't give a damn about anybody.

Another Tuesday gone with no update on whether we will be keeping our jobs or not. It really shows what they think of their employees. They are trying to force/stress people into leaving to save their pennies on severance. I hope they receive not one resignation throughout this period.

Working here is awful. Literally the only good thing is being remote and that’s barely worth it. The same id--t who ran the board while Chris’s was running things is going to turn us around? This place gets worse by the day.

How many times has the C suite traveled internationally lately? Seems all they do is go between San Jose, NYC, and Dublin. Maybe we should reduce the travel budget since we all have teams, slack, and zoom

@q1 the Board is truly awful and useless. I remember when John Donahoe was on the Board. This is the guy who ruined Nike as the CEO in less than 3 years. Nike….the guy ruined Nike. It’s just incompetence everywhere and Wall Street lets you know daily while the stock is sold off and prices go lower and lower.

@m4 I used to think they were sandbagging for cheaper buybacks. I now think these guys are just clowns. Entire board should be first to go.

@kr at this point you can’t convince me they are not intentionally destroying the share price of the company. I have been praying someone with an actual leadership team would buy the company but they have just run PayPal into the ground.

The entire board deserves to be fired. Bring in an activist investor or anyone else. Can't be worse than these mo--ns.

@es they fired one id--t CEO for a bigger older id--t. Just look at our share price. It literally just goes down day after day.

Confirming that morale is not only at an all time low, employees have also lost faith in this company. They are never going to be able to turn this company around if things stay that way.

It's a complete sh-t show to be honest. The whole thing is just dragging on for the sole purpose of ki-ling all morale.

@bj I wish it was sooner. this is ridiculous. pi---d at his low reach layoff comment (i'm sure he thought it would bump the stock). wrong. nobody trusts this stock, not even value investors.

Enrique is a washed up geriatric dinosaur. We know this, Wall Street knows this, so the company is going down quick. Meaningless partnerships with no associated revenue, zero innovation, shrinking margins, etc. Block has now passed us because this company has no direction or leadership.

just look at our chief people officer. look at her behaviors, the "friends" she has surrounding her, the job she got to keep (way to go Enrique), and her lack of integrity.
