Don't know about you, but AM is growing on me. The company needs someone who is willing to give it a kick up the **.

@k4 a UK government that is directly opposed to oil and gas exploration and production???
@jr BP will never have an American CEO and an American chairman at the same time. The UK govt and press would freak out. I would love to see it though.
Dudley and AM coexist on the LYB board. Bob would surely have been consulted on the appointment. Be good to get him back in as chair.
Only worse company is LYB. AM is a part of that, too. He isn't someone to regret losing.
@ad I encountered BL last year at a function in London. He was very full of his own importance, regardless of his highly publicised fall from grace. Apparently, no public limited company in the UK will touch him now. He probably had the cortege of SUVs and security in Houston to make himself look like a bigshot for the benefit of the female employees. It’s these kind of needless costs that AM was questioning. Any more recollections of him from Houston?
Team AM here. He tried to push for change. I voted against re-electing the Board every year since Re-invent. AM was probably shouting to get it through people's thick skull that we need to cut costs and he was leading by example. Years ago when BL was in Houston, there was a convoy of Black SUV's pulling into the office. There were security people stationed everywhere. He was travelling like he was Floyd "The Money" Mayweather. At least Floyd took punches to the head to earn his money to afford his travel lifestyle. BL just used investor's money.
@a2 The guy seems to have had the guts to try to establish what was wrong, and then seek to do something about it. It looks like those with a vested interest in keeping things the same have got rid of them. The problems in this company are at Board level and the LT. There needs to be a clearout at the top (including the Board). Starting with Dame AB. It is the so-called 'ordinary worker' who is keeping the company afloat.
His note after he was ousted was great, it made me like him more (I don’t know him)
