Manager’s behavior

Does anyone (I’m sure you do lol) have managers and store managers who speak rudely and speak down to their associates? What have you done about it? Really sick of the behavior in my store!

@a8 I completely understand your experience. Same thing happened to me our SM is TERRIBLE!

I loved the job and people I worked with but no longer could take the verbal abuse. There's always the thought of "what's next" but once you're a few weeks out the stress releases and you find yourself in a better place mentally, emotionally, and physically!

If someone is rude to you be rude to them back. That’s how I was raised. If someone hits you, then you hit them back.

Speaking down to the colleagues is the Macy's way.

We have a executive in our store that is exceedingly rude to everyone. This person should have never been put into this job not only because of her attitude but also lack of knowledge of company directives. She has no knowledge of how to merchandise floors, refuses to help on the floor when needed, and hides in her office most of her shifts. Some associates have gone back to our store manager to have one on ones about this person so we shall see what happens next

There really is nothing you can do. Someone went to HR about our store manager and her sarcasm, rudeness, lack of professionalism. A case was opened with several of us being interviewed. After the case was complete NOTHING changed. She continued to use her position to demean others. She was on a power trip like no other. It created so much anxiety in me there were days I couldn’t function normally. I ended up going out on an LOA, unrelated to the anxiety she created then made the decision not to return based solely on her leadership and the anxiety she created. I loved my job and the company but forfeited 14 years of loyalty because she was tooooo much. It was unbelievable. I hated that I allowed that to happen but she was awful.
