What, exactly, did they pay a consultant millions of dollars for? Let the incompetence continue

@r5+1ksk0qqx9 - I agree Houston is better for the job market than OKC, but don't think that means one will get a job in Houston. The job market is terrible across the country, and if you have a job it is best to keep it no matter where you are located. This country is going to be in a deep recession soon. The DOW might show different, but companies are not hiring like they use to, and foreclosures are ticking up across the country. If you don't have to leave OKC or Houston and can keep your job you are winning right there.
If you are involuntarily terminated without cause, aka they eliminate your position… you are free to walk. But if they offer you a job with change in pay, lesser title, job in OKC, etc… these all trigger the good cause cure period of 60 days. So it’s just going to depend on every persons situation. If you’re hoping for quick severance, pray they eliminate your position. Godspeed.
@11r "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."
@14j yet you can’t explain your translation. It’s not hard to understand . What is it you’re interpreting, feel free to explain.
@147 You need a new attorney to read that for you.
@13z Article I, section n: IV, A and B. Good cause. Read it. Plain text.
@11r What document are you reading, that is no where in the CIC document.
@10y unfortunately due to Coterra CoC policy, even once DVN tells us to take a hike, they have up to 60 days to force us to stick around for transition. Praying they don’t require it and let us walk, but not likely. Please let the hostages go, and learn to jump off deep end on your own. This is getting crazy. Like everyone else, I’m far beyond done with this.
@zk maybe this will be our week to get lucky!
@z0 Well, except for the "four people familiar with the matter" who told Reuters we are selling Marcellus. Probably the same people at Kimmeridge who were leaking stories in January and eventually who forced TJ and CG to act earlier than they planned when Kimmeridge announced they were nominating five board members to Coterra.
Place is pretty tight lip compared to other places.
@qs - yes indeed. I’m in marketing. We have had the VP and a few managers come a few times. And they never seem to go anywhere other than hiding on the executive floor. And they have gotten their hands on our trade capture system to transition data into their software, but apparently didn’t need our help. We also haven’t been invited to the OKC office for implementation projects, but we know groups like engineering and midstream have. Got the red carpet treatment and tix to thunder playoff games. That would be a nod they will need them to transition. Anyone that has not had that treatment at this point is not needed. We heard first hand they have no value for having a team in Houston. And sure as he-l none of us are leaving the #1 market for oil/gas jobs. OKC is not a city you want to get displaced. You’ll eventually end up back in Houston after the next layoff they go thru. Lol
@pb A couple times already? Wow, what department do you work in? I don't think our new OKC based leader has been down at all- he keeps making plans to come but then cancels at the last minute.
The layoffs are coming!
The layoffs are coming!
@m3 the Coterra change of control states we have to be notified on state of employment within 60 days of close. So perhaps up to July 7th. But we did keep hearing recently it would be 6 weeks. So as early as June 8th.
The disconnection from staff is unprecedented. We had our new VP come down a couple of times with no introductions to staff. They don’t give af.
They said 6 weeks about 7 weeks ago, right? Plans probably got delayed when the realized no one wants to move. Upper level leadership is so disconnected from the wants and needs of the people actually doing the work it’s insane.
@b3 on the way as in next week? Or next month? What exactly do you know? Is it from a reliable source?
Catch you courtside, how bout dat? CG
Be patient squirrel. A nut is on it's way to you. Hold steady!
