GF’s revision and acceptance in its mission and vision statement that it does not want to compete with top tier foundries like TSMC, Intel and Samsung as it neither has talent nor finances to support the model was good self reflection but it failed in its execution miserably since Tom captured the ceo chair. GF’s model could have kept it surviving of effort was made to hire less political leaders with focus on merit and achievements. What really accelerated its downfall was promotion of boot lickers and a-s kickers to second layer and above. Now it is too late to reverse the decisions as these boot lickers and a-s lickers with no technical knowledge , are the only remaining ones in so called failed leadership ranks.
