Just a thought, maybe start chasing VAST/Weka/Qumulo before they eat all your NAS lunch?

Issue is a disconnected sales teams. We have cloud and then the rest… When our cloud team engages a customer, they never handover when the customer wants to remain on prem. Pure simply follows our cloud teams and pitch their enterprise storage when we’re gone. They are seagulls following the fishing boats. Netapp is ki-ling itself. Remove all the C level, remove to sales leadership, merge the sales team into one org, and let them sell anything they want based on the number. Sell the netapp portfolio not the products. It’s basic sales acumen. Comp plans are driving how teams work at a customer level. Sales people are coin operated parasites, let them feed.
Vast is light years ahead of us in their AI story. And Pure is eating our share in the storage market. Other than cute-names to insult them (neverPure) we don't have a clue on how to beat them.
