Thread regarding Intuit Inc. layoffs

What happens to contractors during this layoff?

So many great contractors here at Intuit - curious what will happen or how CW have been impacted during prior layoffs. I think it's safe to assume many will not get their contracts renewed.

@ep I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm also contract, first contract role ever. Only took the contract role because it was strongly suggested that the 6 month contract would extend another 6 months and possibly a year, but it's almost guaranteed that most contractors won't be extended. Because i'm a contractor, I wasn't part of my team meetings of all FTE and just found out through the grapevine that several people were let go. I'm working on a core product too, so it was super surprising because I thought MC was mostly hit. Feeling super rattled, it's really weird. I have no idea what to even make of it. Was blissfully ignorant that our team wasn't hit but this completely changes my thought process about my role and future. Empathizing with you friend.

I'm contract and i wasn't touched, but ALL my coworkers are gone and so is my boss, boss's boss, etc. No work to do and contract runs out in August. No one has spoken to me officially about what I should be doing. Totally just floating right now. It's all so weird.

The email says full time workforce. I guess contractors are excluded
