Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Anything about cisco wireless team ( cisco spaces ,dnac, Meraki team etc)

I heard that the Cisco Wireless team was also affected due to low revenue in last layoff. Do you have any idea about the current situation with Cisco Spaces, Meraki, and the DNAC team?

We lost Meraki resources that supported a customer.

Honestly, Spaces never felt like a very strong or differentiated product to us. A lot of it seems focused on dashboards, graphs, and analytics that many customers’ in-house data, ML, and AI engineering teams could probably build on their own.

The team also feels very senior-heavy (many people with 10+ years of experience), but the product growth and innovation still don’t seem that strong.

With revenue being low, it’s surprising that the Spaces team gets ignored in layoff discussions. Csco could probably reduce costs by having a better mix of junior and senior engineers while also focusing more on improving the product itself and integrating AI usecases into product

Spaces team has conned the executives to treat their garbage as something special. They will remain untouched and unaccountable. Rest of Wireless and Meraki is fair game.

Most of the wireless companies including Cisco, juniper MIST, Qualcomm and Broadcom have outsourced thousands of jobs to Asia.

Stop this greed ! Executives do not care about US employees, they will outsource and make themselves rich.

There are hardly any interns in these companies now.
