Has reality kicked in yet, inflated targets made you feel like your an underachiever therefore your only worth your basic? Myself this qtr I’ve brought in more margin that would cover my salary + commission for the past 20yrs , but yet I’m seeing for the first time basic pay. Something is seriously rotten in Denmark!

At times, the ISR role feels like a mind-numbing, pride swallowing siege that slowly wears you down in ways few people ever see.
At its core, the ISR role is primarily focused on quotes, pricing files, and transactional execution. It’s a starter job.
Isr’s for lack of a better term are data entry order takers disguised as sales.
I really value being managed to modern seller metrics, it gives me a clear sense of accomplishment and keeps me motivated. The structured performance coaching plans also make me feel invested in and supported as a seller, which ultimately drives me to perform at a higher level.
@nq nope - you are an ISR as Sales would do without
we just too lazy if we can offload cr-p
@nq lol sales. glamorous? yeah... i'd rather not be micromanaged with a billion metrics 24/7, or have an inconsistent salary or always worried about my job because i didn't hit the numbers this quarter... sounds pretty glamourous to me!
@nq ISR's "keep" business simply by filling orders and on occasion, upsell products. They aren't "selling" anything or generating business.
Outside sales is quite literally the people who bring business to dell/any company. ISR's realistically are not even needed anyways. Which is why there is a reason sales always gets hit hard with layoffs lol..
@kk ISR has always been viewed as a lower-level, task-oriented role focused heavily on data entry and administrative support.
Ugh. To the person who says inside sales doesn't matter, field sales here. I couldn't do my job without my ISR, and he does provide value and attention to detail every day that I can't. So shut up and go back to your spreadsheets and being jealous of sales because you think it's the glamorous life.
@n3 this is the outcome of generally a weak labor market. You get shitheads like this running the show with a "my way or the highway" attitude. And when all the capable and experienced workers leave for the next best opportunity I get to eavesdrop on the next director call and listen them complain about the level of attrition in the company.
@c1 this is the type of attitude of people who are incapable to process feedback. Or are literraly affraid to even get honest feedback or constructive critic. And if such people are higher ups in a company, it usually is the sign of a very bad corporate attitude and a precursor to a failing company culture.
Sure, it might work for some time, but will cause much more issues down the road
Let me guess. You are a narcissistic ISR who genuinely thinks you are gods gift to dell. Yeah well you are a nobody. Outside sales is the only group who matters tbh.
Nobody gaf buddy. Thats how sales is and if you don't like it then... get out. Quit the complaining. Either do better or get out because guess who cares? Nobody, and certainly not Dell!! Someone WILL fill your position the day you quit so trust me, you won't be missed.
Corn? I don't remember eating any corn.
quit....go somewhere else.
Dell is a tinpot company with a current inflated stock value due to AI. They don't value experience & knowledge as that comes at a cost. So they bring in juveniles, give them Sales Chat because thats all our customers are worth
