Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

To be clear, its 4000 jobs in Q4, then likely another 4000 in Q1.

Total 1 billion restructuring charge. They did the same in 2024 and cut 7000 jobs.

@a7 The 4,000/5% stats are only FY26Q4. ELT budgeted $450 million for it. The rest ($550 million) will show up in FY27 as additional cuts to the FY26Q4 numbers. All-in expect what @OP said… ~7k total.

What Cisco ACTUALLY said

  • “Fewer than 4,000 jobs”
  • “Less than 5% of workforce”
  • “Notifications begin May 14 and continue globally”
    *$1B restructuring charges spread across Q4 FY26 + FY27. There is nothing beyond this

Average of $112500 sounds awful low unless they handle the insurance or cobra in a different pool.
