I heard some promotions were approved and/ or in the process of being approved, but no word on timing. Anyone have any insight on when we will be notified?

@1c0 adding that we have promotions now, but we were skipped in January completely.
My team has a few promotions, they have been already informed, effective from June 1st.
@hq Tell me you don’t understand promotions without telling me you don’t understand promotions. No, someone doesn’t need to leave to open up room for them. Despite the layoffs, promotions are definitely still happening, albeit on slightly more limited basis and it is not unreasonable to expect them to continue to occur.
This site is about layoffs not promotions.
How many people actually expect a promotion in any particular unit or division? Why is this a post? Wouldn't people have to leave, get fired or laid off for a position to open in the first place? The company is certainly not expanding... If anything, supervisory positions would be eliminated in the oncoming merger. So no layoffs/ no merger = no promotions. Stop with the nonsense posts already. You sound like the company passed out promotions all the time, like nypd - you just take a test to get promoted.

@dr Of the 4 I submitted, I got confirmation on one and I am still waiting on the others.
Are all Managers who submitted people aware of who is getting promoted by now?

A round of promotions just occurred with the start date of their new level(s) of May 1st.
I had a few that were approved. I believe the employees will be notified in June.
