Thread regarding NCR Corp. layoffs

RIDICULOUS NCR ATLEOS MERITS IN SERBIA

They have lost all moral respect for human beings .. They feel that giving people a $20 and or 30 $ merit increase per month is going to make someone satisfied and or work in the office ? Has this company lost its mind? The huge CAMPUS that they built in Belgrade only 5 years ago , and now giving people $20 raises per month? Are they serious? They are looking to pay for the same positions a salary that they were paying 12 years ago .. .They are still trying to pay people in Belgrade $800 a month... That story has sailed... Then from what everyone heard is they fired the president of the Labor Union in Belgrade just so the top players could run the company.. This company has become criminal . All people are doing now is coming into the office and socializing all day ... what a waste of work force .. Then again while the GM in Serbia and his buddies are all profiting while they can ... not sure what is going on but people cant live on a $20 pay increase.. this is so low .. this company should be prosecuted

@4a7 you will (we all) lose your job is what going to happen. If you are subject to get a gppd severance payment, stay till the end and pretend working, if not just find a better job.

@49z Exactly, the most cynical part of all this is the least paid employees are documenting their own and their team`s workflows to train AI systems.

They are literally being paid $800 a month to write their own replacement manuals.

For anyone still holding out hope that Brinks changes anything for the better, a quick history lesson.

Brinks does not buy companies to invest in them. They buy companies to extract what they need and eliminate what they do not. Their core business is cash logistics and security. ATM hardware fits that. Two thousand support agents in Belgrade do not.

@49z I would be suprised if any significant layoffs in Belgrade even start in that timeframe.

Also any resonable Atleos employee in Belgrade would now be in serious job search. Once this breaks down, labour market will be heavily saturated.

What sad is as I heard from the people, everybody is expecting that they will lose their job by the end of year or in the first quarter of 2027. Almost everyone lost their enthusiasm, moral, willing to add value to this job. They just come and go and pretend working. "Management" on all levels are only trying to cover their backs and they also pretend that they are doing something useful. They are asking least paid roles to come up with ideas to save the company or teach AI what they are doing, so they can give those jobs to an AI agent which would be more expensive in the future.

@45q Hey , just wondering how do we know 3wd is a man considering this site is anonymous allowing people to write , think , spell, and express their opinions. There is no fact here nor is there evidence of anyone being right or wrong. these posts are created for people to either input their opinions and or write whatever they want whether its true or not that cant be proven on anonymous internet sites.. Some may agree with others , some may not. but its great to see people express themselves and hear their thoughts.. Its also interesting to see how some agree and some do not agree with each others posts. IF there are any issues with safety concerns your employer would know that better than some anonymous post online

@45a It's kind of sick approach seeing everyone in NCR are call center agents. From the call center approach of yours, TMs, AMs, BOC are all call centers in that logic. You don't know anything about the job. You are very new and not knowing many other teams or you are just bullsh-tting.

@458 Management in the office hahahah, its just a call center, there is no need for management in Serbia, they might as well move all management to the US... there are plenty of teams right now with managers who are in other countries.. no need for management in Serbia.. its all illustrated like some big company ... in reality, its truly is just a call center. As far as WFH , great idea.. everyone can do their work from home.. the office is just a show to make someone happy. What a waste of investment into a building.. although it looks good, they will probably sell it to someone to make more money ....just an opinion not a fact ..i do feel bad for the people who spend hours coming to and going home from work .. what waste of quality working hours

For at least a week or more they started repair works on Hajdin's Bridge and there are ongoing works Novi Beograd train station, now many trains are not coming to Novi Beograd train station. And during the day they are just cancelling some train services announcing just before the service. Also many trains are delaying. Follow Srbija Voz Timetable page for that.
Also they will close Pancevo bridge at the end of the year or beginning of next year.a
And our famous metro construction is starting. It's expected many objects will be demolished in Belgrade (Staklenac, Bajloni Market and many buildings on Despot Boulevard.
Starting from now, transportation will be more and more difficult each coming day.
I'm not sure how we could go to office. I would hope the management do something about it and go back to WFH status but they also know that without workers in the office building there is no need of management and they will lose their jobs. That's why I'm not positive about that.

@44j It was allways flexible under "business casual". That depended more on building owners then on NCR, Serbia specially. In a lot of foreign tech companies now you can wear whatever you want ...

@40e

Wow no wonder they are saying Brinks and Atleos align so well….both have poor employee ratings! Match made in heaven.

They have been laying off managers in the US and transferring more duties to Serbia. Career path in the states has dwindled and effectively over.

@40e Mainly two things that make the employees in Serbia unhappy ... Number 1 on the list , a salary that compares to average salaries from 1970... and number 2 , being forced to come into the office and discriminated against while others do not have to do the same...everyone knows that they can do the same work from home without be forced and tracked to come into the office for school attendance and pretended we are all collaborating ... thanks it... those are the main 2 factors...of course there are other things that might vary from person to person on their opinions... but that's it... yes everyone can leave obviously , but why leave if there is no other option for some and they can easily continue milking ... while working another job from that same office

Seems like a lot of unhappy employees in Serbia, but this is classic NCR, nothing new. With Brinks taking over Atleos, don’t set any expectations much higher, a quick Google and you get this. Not exactly great.😌
Employees rated Brink's, Incorporated 2.7 out of 5 for work life balance, 2.9 for culture and values and 2.8 for career opportunities

what's really sad is that 80 percent of the employees in Serbia do not even have cars and mainly take hours to get to and go from work by either walking or using some type of city transportation, trains or buses. but then again what do you expect for $800 a month....id love to see someone in the US not have a vehicle for their whole life and get around.

@3wd Could you please explain why it is not safe to go to office? I can't work from home because my home is very crowded and small. But if I you tell me the reason that it is not safe, I will discuss with my manager for not going to office. Also it seems that you are closer to the managers level and you know what car GM of Serbia is driving. How do you know that only team leaders are tracking office attendance but not management of NCR in Serbia? Are you talking about Atleos or Voyix?

what a disaster, the dirty dozen are now wearing shorts in the office , while colleting their bonuses. the office building now in Belgrade is empty ..conisidering they are now... DO NOT GO INTO THAT BUILIDNIG ITS UNSAFE !!!!!!!!!!!!1being monitored by the government do to inconsistent measures. There are only a few teams now tracking office attendance... its a disaster... employees now coming into work for one hour... the GM in Serbia is driving around in his SUV like its Christmas .... most of the employees are no longer coming into work and staying home... They saw a person yesterday in shorts and a wife beater come into the office and no one said anything... may issues have now been seen... they are posting layoffs on the floor on paper to show everyone how strong they are

by

Post ID: @36d+1krdp4zc5

Considering that they are paying employees $800 per month in Serbia and trying to see how they can lower that ... I wonder how much they are paying the average employee in the UK? Or maybe even better they might move everything to Serbia and run the whole show from there. Just don't see how NCR will survive paying that type of salary in the future, but then again if they hire a bunch of students who have no experience maybe it will work.. not saying that there is a whole lot of experience present right now

@33m

Let me understand what’s being said. They are asking CE’s to voluntarily take a separation package?

Interesting since there were big customer gains in recent years over in the UK. Does Brinks have a large footprint there already and can transition some route employees to become service techs?

@2kf Wrong on both counts.

NCR does not own that building. The owner is NBG PARK doo. NCR is a tenant. Has always been a tenant.

The lease term is 120 months. Ten years. Not 49.

And if they want to leave early, there is a termination penalty baked into the same document. So not even a flexible tenant.

A company that spent millions fitting out a building it does not own, on a lease it cannot easily exit, that is now being sold to Brinks.

Great investment.

@2fm Believe me upper levels even in ELT level, do not know what they are doing and they are also technically and skillfully enough for their levels. They ask everything to AI chatbots. Be clever, everyday spend 2 hours with Copilot ask how you can shine yourself in the company. Use AI to learn how you can come with super ideas which will enchant your supervisors. This is the hack of the system in NCR (I guess both). They are doing that. And it's free and it's encouraged by even ELT.

@2ff People who do not need a job, are not so good for employment of such type, because they are working to cut the time, and they need something to happen in their life. Contrary to obvious logic they are the one who will complain the most.

Family people with children and debts are the one that are silent because they live under heavy pressure and loosing the job for them means disaster. They do not complain, they leave after they find better opportunity.
