I got wind accounting in LM only goes in two days a week. Is this true???? If so how’s that fair for the rest of us getting RTO shoved down our throats?

I don't want to hear the crying from FP&A who don't work late nights during close, are so lazy you ask US to do your work for you, have NO idea what an accrual is, and then gets paid more than Accounting peers?!
Accounting in Basking Ridge is never in the office. They showed up this week after the RIF.
eh... I heard Accounting never go to the office in LM.
First. Can we stop with the gaming console comment? It’s probably the same person making all these posts. I have been in LM accounting for over 10 years across 8 teams and never once seen a gaming console. Two, desks haven’t been decorated for Halloween since before Covid, have you even been to the 4th floor. If we are going to complain, let’s at least keep it to things in the last 5 years. Third, whether this true or not, if you hate RTO so much wouldn’t you want teams to have less RTO so other teams can hopefully one day follow. All complaining does its make the rule stricter for all of us because you are clearly not an adult and need things to be “fair” like a child so now they have to micro manage you all.
@d1 fpas and fp&a are literally re--rded at verizon.
Enabled by accounting no doubt. Pushovers who willingly do all your work for you.
Ai is coming for you before accounting.
Not in FPAS, but funny hearing ‘too stupid to do analysis’ from the department whose monthly deliverable is asking why the file doesn’t tie by $14. Finance just got leaner, and calling them useless while half your workflow is getting automated into a close checklist is bold. You’re about to learn what AI thinks about reconciliations.
Awe. Poor baby fpas sad that they're all getting laid off because they have had 5X the needed headcount for the last 10 years. Too stupid to do any analysis, just demand accounting do everything for you so you can make a powerpoint about your 1 company code.
even when Lake Mary Accounting came into the office- they spent more time playing video games inside the office and decorating desks. plenty of their Asso. Dir and above brag about doing little to no work. Previous and Current Accounting SVPs manage the team like preschoolers. one reason could be leaders who live 2-3 hours away from Lake Mary. The dept is run by several hefty older ladies whose professional headshots are 50 pounds or more lighter than their current look. in some cases, 100s of pounds
They have one of the worst in accounting always posting tone deaf emoji filled slop on LinkedIn.
Don’t forget about the full weeks each month that they don’t have to go in at all.
"Getting RTO shoved down your throat"?
The official policy is 3 days. If they are only going in 2 days, that is only a difference of one day. That's not exactly getting shoved down your throat. Different story if you were doing 5 days a week.
The company is full of examples where groups and individuals ignore the 3 days and leadership turn a blind eye. It’s a battle they don’t want to fight (for now)
It’s true. There are other groups that go in once a week.
You mean they only commute an hour to work 2 days a week just to use their laptop that was already at home? Shocking. Who cares.
If we were a serious company we would be in person for important meetings/materials only, not just to check the box.
Accounting also works some of the longest hours. Let them do their two days. It's probably more than your 3 days in hours.
They use the 3rd day to work on a Spotify playlist
That’s probably the very last thing on my list of things to worry about.
I heard the same thing
