Thread regarding International Game Technology layoffs

How many did we lose this year?

I know there were layoffs recently and we also had a few earlier in the year. Is there any way to figure out how many people were cut overall and if there is a risk of more layoffs in the near future? I'd like to enter 2023 without having to worry about my job for at least a few months.

Left IGT in 2020 after 8 1/2 years. It was great when I started, but went downhill from there. I have actually enjoyed my new job since parting ways with IGT.

Problem with IGT is that whenever they say that “all layoffs are completed” they turn around about a month later and do another round. I am not gonna lie, IGT was a great place to work for but I’m so happy that I’ve moved on and found a much better position.

IGT was once an amazing game manufacturer but they got complacent and let their guard down. The competitors kept hitting it hard and overtook the number 1 spot.

IGT then tried to do damage control by making the deal with the Italians. That as we all see turned out to be disastrous for the financial well being of this company and all it did was push IGT further down into the ground.

There are still great tech jobs out there and it wont hurt to try applying for some other companies. You might end up liking it better than IGT.

They’re getting ready for a structured layoff looks like IT is going to get hit big.
