I was laid off today and just sat there like “now what?” What are your plans for now to the end of the month?
I’m thinking to just show face at daily meetings, don’t do anything else and ignore 90% of teams and email messages. I mean this was worst case right? They can’t really do anything else?
what is the role of a Scrum Master Chapter leader who are non- technical and do not understand any tech and they are still retained. i know several Scrum Masters who are technical have been let go.
For me, I’m shocked and upset by it. I’ll go in a few days to say goodbye to people, will transfer off my work, have one three year project that is set to go live at the end of month so for personal reasons want to see that through. Otherwise taking this time to get my resume etc in order. I don’t think there’s a lot of expectation of productivity.
I was the squad leader so I still gotta run this Squad. Until it dissolves and becomes something else for the new operating model.
I’ll still be going in, but I will definitely be leaving early and putting in much less effort.
Their last day is the end of this month. They’ll be required to work until then, but they’re allowed to WFH until the end.
Did you get a notice period to serve ? How you will join meetings if you are laid off
