To Fidelity only, but are you all aware all the professionals in many huge multibillion dollar companies their employees are as pi---d off as we are for FT RTO?!. They have all stirred the hornets nest! No one is happy, if they successfully did their wfh massively productive employees have proven they can be trusted to wfh and be flexible with coming into an office. It just shows we are completely off their radar for loyalty or respect or for their MASSIVE PROFITS they’ve enjoyed. Maybe just maybe there’ll be infinitesimally small reductions in productivity by naturally being back in a distracting office and I hope they see an overall decline because of RTO. Nothing evil or malicious just a natural decline because being in a busy noisy office lends itself to more distractions. Be careful the powers that be you may be cutting off your nose to spite your face. WFH was a long planned situation and it worked fabulously well and they’re still unhappy with the workforce . Give the professional adults in your office the due respect they deserve. Allow flexibility.

if you live in a different county than your worksite, you won't be paying two counties tax anymore. That's a plus, right? :)
I definitely don’t want to hurt FLIK employees but do believe it’s not a good idea to give your paycheck back to your employer. Since the new app/checkout system rollout I did notice price increases on more than one item.

@a5 that's ok, they made up for it with smaller portion sizes.
@a6 HMOG you're probably one of those that says they deserve a raise because they bought a new car
Inflation the last several years has been out of control. COLA has never even come close to making up for it.
@a5 I literally was going to come back on and say the cost of coming into the office is even greater food clothing gasoline
So now we all take home much less pay!
Doubt we’ll be subsidized for the cost of coming in full time.
On that last note, the cafeteria prices seem to have risen, surprise surprise.
" Fidelity is concerned that remote work deprives employees, especially younger generations, of valuable networking and learning opportunities.
The Globe also noted that since Fidelity is keeping its old headquarters while opening a new building, requiring employees to come back will help drive local commerce"
Clearly, none of this is about being productive on daily tasks. So cool, I'll comply. At every opportunity, I'll try to find someone to teach/learn from and network with.
And if there isn't enough of that to fill full days, I'm sure I can find some other, non-task based activity to get me to quitting time.
Productivity will certainly take a hit but this is the direction I've been provided. Productivity isn't as important as the other factors.
But no, I won't be patronizing any local commerce unless urgent and unavoidable. Sorry, but I'll support the business near my residence, since I care about their continued viability.
