Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Stock vs Real Intel

It’s odd seeing the stock shoot to the moon while Intel is still bleeding out engineers and techs. While work life balance dwindles for those who make the wafers, the exs keep hiring their buddies. I guess everyone will keep their mouths shut as long as the stock keeps going to the moon.

Current market is just being stimulated by AI and Investors trying to catch the curve somewhere. They don't particularly care which stocks they invest in so long as they aren't left out. Intel was one of the cheaper buys and investors are leaning in heavy to take advantage of the current high volatility. Once all this AI hype calms down investors will go back the basics...

The problem with the stock rise. Many other companies increased revenue… Intel did not.

If Intel does not get that Apple business in 2028…

Also remember when Intel divested memory …

" . . . at this valuation they are not thinking about u and me."

Take it from me, an INTC investor/gambler: We are NEVER thinking about you.

it's not about engineers.

it's about 100s of billions in capital investment in foundries, process, etc.

we cannot operate without good engineers, but the value of other things quadrupled because of the tech wave and geo politics.

think in terms of someone coming from outside, taking over everything we have except people, and hiring from scratch. it would take them good 10 years to make it work but after that it's a money printing machine.

i am an engineer and i do have a high regard about myself, but this is how i am seeing this - at this valuation they are not thinking about u and me.

@ac Stock value is only a reflection of people buying and selling the stock. It’s not a reflection of how well the company is actually doing. There’s a disconnect that lies within allusion.

Really weird and odd !

Previous American CEO took more than 3 years to bring it down below < 100 Billions dollar and suddenly ...

Current Asian CEO “ support to be fired immediately” by the president of America around one year ago bumped it up to 480 Billions dollar.

Where does the money come from ? Did he leak the information to millions of Malaysian to buy INTC stock ?

There is a saying that "It's better to look good than to work good". Intel is just riding some sort of wave, enjoy the wave and get your golden parachute ready.
