Does Commscope offer a decent severance package for employees they layoff?

Yes they changed it in June of 2020 only to benefit Dir and above, esp VP. I was let go in July 2020 and had to fight to get the bonus they promised the prior year to pay out to everyone in October 2020. Then they told the state our layoff was due to lack of work, total BS. These effers blow and I landed on my feet just fine but many didn’t, and I hope CS crashes which I know they will.
No! they changed the severance package in 2020, right before the first of several layoffs that year. I was a legacy Motorola employee. I was laid off in late 2020. I received 20 weeks of severance, lump sum, after 14+ years with the company. I would have had more weeks had CommScope not changed the package.
They made a lot of changes to benefit them financially then claimed they didn't know layoffs were going to happen! I had my severance package in less than an hour after being notified 2 weeks before Thanksgiving that I was being laid off.
It's a sinking ship now. I'm grateful that I was pushed overboard when I was...
I got 6 months. Legacy Arris. If I had been legacy Commscope it would have been 12 months. 18 years of service, can't remember my job rank.
I left a couple years ago, but they had just cut the severance package back a little. 2 weeks per year of service up to a certain max depending on job grade.
If you've been there a while it's not bad, but if you only have a few years of service it's not good. I don't think there was extended benefit coverage or anything else.
