Hi, I guess I'm an outlier around here but I wish there is voluntary severance option available with similar package as the vro or the earlier ones. The job is becoming shittier every day with the bell curve performance ratings, forced good catches, forced continuous improvement programs and so on.
I truly sincerely wish sanjay open up more slots for voluntary retrenchment.

Your manager is not your friend, although they pretended to be. Do not offer to volunteer, because there will be low-performer quotas to fill in the future and they will unexpectedly create a low-performer review for you with vague language about all these previously undocumented performance issues you were never informed of.
If you trust your manager, just tell them.
