@dg it’s not to make you feel better. It’s there to protect the company. This is easily verifiable with a quick google search. Rage all you want, but that doesn’t change the explanation of those lists. Grow up.

@ca So I guess you were just bored today and decided to come roll with the peons. So heard there are no cases to be had in Utilization Review. Full time employees making 80000 and up with no reviews . You all got bigger problems than this site.

@OP stop with the age narrative. The reason the company provides a listing of age and role of those laid off is exactly to show it wasn’t age based. Now it’s possible that a lot of older employees are caught up bc they have been around longer and make more money. But there are also younger workers who benefited from job jumping that came in higher than those of us who have been here longer. Optum is cunning enough to spread the pain so that they avoid federal labor scrutiny.

Too many of them are NOT doing anything as well. They just login, spend 7 hours attending calls n asking questions, log off. Rinse+ repeat.
Would be helpful to hear actual GLs, roles, tenure and where these people are at on the pay scale of their GL.
