How’s it going in the stores without their beauty merchandisers?! Are the cosmetics associates doing the job? Visual captain?! Is stuff getting done?! Why would anyone think it was a great idea to cut them? If anything there should be a full time and a part time at every store! They’re important because they do a lot in 40 hours a week! Mind you, the pay should align better too.

Horrible. No one is doing the work. Nor do they want too. The only one who kind of cares is the trend counter manager.
They want the old beauty merchandiser to come back into a beauty flex role, (they’re currently part time general sales) so he can do all the work with less hours on an unpredictable schedule and that won’t work either.
HUGE mistake by the company…
So macys HQ if you’re reading this: you want billions in revenue across the company to compete with other stores~ yet you eliminated the position in which that was happening. Everything was set. Done. Correct.
Now? No updated planograms in trend, no signage, (most don’t have clearance to go on dock to get the collateral boxes anyway) and with the focus on ~genuine hospitality~ EXTRA work very detailed work- gets shoved to the wayside….
It was a 40 an hour a week position for a reason.
But hey tank more stores, they’re already all closing. All to save a little bit of money. Absolutely disgusting.
