Glad the firm’s top heavy structure will be addressed
There should be a Chief administrative officer/EVP who oversees all of those other areas like legal, P&C, IT, government affairs, and communications.
CEO
CFO
EVP Upstream
EVP Downstream
EVP Trading & Shipping
One cross‑cutting EVP (Projects/Technology)
@2jg, likely People & Culture, Legal, Technology, Strategy/Sustainability/Ventures, and Gas & Low Carbon will no longer exist as standalone EVP roles. They will be absorbed into the two new divisions (Upstream + Downstream)
@2jy it was referenced in the town hall
@2jg when did they say EVP/SVP would be announced in June?
Now that we know announcements in June for EVP, SVP Levels in the new structure, who stays and who goes is the big question ?
They should do an EOI...most of the people over 50 are tired of this sh-tshow and waiting for severance. BP is hopeless.
I heard an SVP repeatedly say that there will be a lot of change this year. Buckle up buttercup.
I hope they announce layoffs tomorrow. Investors want a decisive leader after Milquetoast Murray
@ab It’ll probably be announced around Q2 results - to give our stock a nice little bump. It’ll be executed through Q1 2027. If it is announced now for Q1 results, it will be seen as rash, and possibly not well thought out, by a new incoming CEO.
what misery? you’re acting like a minor job inconvenience is ending your world.
How quickly do you think it’ll happen? Both how soon will it be announced and how quickly will it be executed post announcement
