I heard through the grapevine that some number of consultants were laid off this past week. Anybody got confirmation or details?

In @sx's defense, your Art Department comments have gone on so long and are so tediously vapid and stupid, that it's hard to retain one's composure.
@sx I wrote a throw at line poking fun at a sacred cow. You responded with a serious of assumptions about the comment post and my mental state.
You may want to reread your response while looking in the mirror. Which one of us is “crashing out” again?

Can confirm.
Word on the street that @sx is full of zhit.
@sx Word on the street…. That says it all.
"Several thousand"??!! That seems hard to believe.
No WARN notice has been filed.
You are mentally ill. The amount of expenditure being spent on the ~2 or so artists on staff is peanuts. Stop crashing out over it in every single comment thread on this site.
Anyway; word on the street is that several thousand positions determined to be redundant are being cut. Whether or not they are redundant is up for debate, but there is some crossover in customer success/account management/etc.
I'm starting to see evidence of this on LinkedIn. So far the new "Open for Work" folks via SAS are seemingly incredibly well-skilled. You can't make up for that with an army of new-hires. Sad for all. Hope they find better.
How many? Managers or individual contributors?

They need that head count to build up the Art Department, which is safe.
