With all of the recent layoffs on the Atleos Service side of the world interested if anyone has any connections on the Business Partner/Dealer side of the business? Curious of what their thoughts are on the impending acquisition and open positions that may be available. I would think they would interested in beefing up their teams with all of the talent on the streets.

And self checkouts terrible the DB ones maybe not perfect but are way better. ( at the Tesco in UK)
@f6 Truth!
Responding, NCR soaked so many customers by over selling them with high cost hardware that required constant staff attention, service calls, and customer dissatisfaction, and awful software. This went on for years, now after taping off and disabling all the cash options, the hardware is is aged out and EOL, these customers got hosed, they are done with anything associated with NCR, so many better, more reliable, and less expensive options available.
Be honest with it, NCR brand is at EOL, and burned a lot of customers.
@f6 you do know that NCR card only SCOs are a thing, right?
They're basically just like competitor's cashless offerings, for the most part. Just empty space where all the cash handling components would be. We have some in my region. Most have opted for the cash capable ones though.
Atleos is developing AI run bank branches. Customers will talk to an AI agent, bank run by a main AI manager. No humans to be found, no need for a human teller out in some main office basement.
The ITM is equivalent of developing Blockbuster DVD kiosks as streaming was exploding.

Rethink the ITM, who is going to want to connect to a person on a phone at an ATM, not any young people who embrace online banking from their phone or tablet, not any old people that have never used or wanted to use an ATM,
This reminds me of the advancements in self check out with cash, coins, and recyclers. NCR over built them, caused the business and customers nothing but grief, and lost customers to reliable debit/credit SCO.
They are doing the same to ATM’s, the few that use them mostly just want cash, not all these upsells that cause reliability issues and require more from the bank and constant downtime, with costly investment and high maintenance contracts.
Then getting slammed with charge calls for out of scope repairs
The core of the business is technicians fixing small electromechanical devices.
Need to expand that as electromechanical hardware is always emerging, changing and will always be relavant.
Perhaps go after Self Checkouts and POS’ again given Voyix has given up on hardware & service :-)
@ab
The ITM’s that are in my country don’t work, the software is total trash, nothing but problems, I doubt they are any better since my RIF, gotta have a good product if you think that’s the future, and they don’t have it.
@a8 true but the ITM market still appears to be growing. Interesting dynamics but my background is in that technology.
@OP
The business is on the decline, cash and deposits have become less and less, banks are reducing the number of ATMs they have.
I have my doubts anyone is beefing up, it’s more likely reduction in the ATM banking world.
