Thread regarding Google Inc. layoffs

For those all you who work at Google, how are you gonna cope?

It seems Sundar Pichai is determined to let go of 10,000 of you under the new Googler Reviews and Development(GRAD) system. Even though Google is healthy financially, he answers to Wall St. And under GRAD, most of you will get lower ratings, and it would be hard to get the top rating. (https://www.cnbc.com/2022/12/22/google-tells-employees-higher-risk-of-low-performance-ratings-in-2023.html)

I would like to know:

(1) How would you cope with the stress imposed by GRAD?

(2) And most importantly, how would you avoid being rated negatively by your peers and manager and get at least an average rating? What kind of tactics would you use?

I'm curious how much tax revenue from the middle class and poor goes into the overbloated comp packages that has created your the Google reality. All those subsidies and tax write offs being headquartered in Ireland and all. Think about EU is that they actually have protections so they will be the last to be laid off and many ill get paid on top of being paid on top of that - EU...and accrue never ending PTO.

You naïve if you think it will only be 10,000. The company as close to 182,000 regular employees in the same number of contractors. This will be much higher than 10,000 employees.

Load up on as many snacks, food, and before the work bathroom selfies as you can. Make sure to take as much food as you can back home.
