Fewer layoffs under Iger

Can we expect to see fewer layoffs under Iger or will he turn to reducing the workforce in an attempt to turn things around (even though I don't think things need turning around, we just have a bunch of shareholders with unrealistic expectations considering the overall state of the economy)?

Has nothing to do with who is at the helm. It's about the numbers. I know from being there that the IT side was stripped of talent and knowledge during Covid. We cannot afford to lose any more bodies, but that won't stop number crunchers from asking "Why do we have 5 people with the same title all making 100K+?" and then passing on word that three must go. IT folk are disposable in their books.

Disney has lost over 120 billion in value but the shareholders have unrealistic expectations?

I wouldn't count on it. DIS is trading at $84/share right now because the shareholders are more interested in pushing their goofball political agenda than they are about earning enough revenue to keep people employed.
