So now we have a "Panel Manager" role who gets paid 120k per year to literally take a number from a performance report and put it into an email because directors and field managers arent competent enough to monitor their teams performance on their own. 750k per year spent on a team of secrataries to spoon feed directors data from the same reports they have access to. No wonder we have to layoff other roles.

@tv it'll get crowded with the cto and clan present there already. And no need to describe your type, it was in the news, everybody knows, except PE maybe
@r1+1kpny6wd7, Now you mention it, I am seeking a younger subordinate for an extra marital affair. Prefer an attorney or something along those lines. Lower casts need not apply.
@jy as shameless as it can get karthik, keep it up.. are you still keeping up with the affairs
I worked in the NYC corp office for close to 20 years. Trust me, many more over rated/over paid jobs were up there.
Karthik here. We will build an AI agent within Platty that can automate the emails. Then we will eliminate the PM roll for cost savings. In the meantime, continue the finger pointing and infighting so we can continue to harvest ideas for cost savings.
Nielsen have always had these $100K+ salaries for people that only send emails, you know who they are when in an email they start CCing everybody, is part of the culture there!
@bf exactly. The worst part is the PMs will also take all the credit for what everyone else does to improve/fix/run the sample. As if their 1 email a week is actually doing something to contribute to the actual real work being done.
To rub salt in the wounds of people who actually do some work or the people who were laid off from "expensive" markets, these panel manager and panel lead jobs were actually the first ones which could have operated from remote instead of having "regional managers" in Australia etc , who do this same thing, "... install counts are low, recruit more.. "
same idea with some csm roles where people get to hire all their buddies for insane salaries and save them from layoffs and everyone else does all the work
@OP I actually work in the field and have seen this. The PM will send us about 2 emails a week, and then the rest of the time they are MIA, and you cant get a response. As if they are so busy pulling up reports (same report I use to see install trends by the way that takes 2 min to access). Where are they all day while they collect all the $? Its a bunch of 30 year employees collecting a paycheck for doing nothing that actually drives results. All I see from my PM is an email once a week saying "install counts are down". 120k per year to send 2 emails per week, give me a break. Most over rated position in the company.
