Beware of the shills trying to get people to quit if they are unhappy. like most mid priced department stores, macys has implemented shills to name call and scold the employees that post on here. It’s a desperate last step for macys and shows they will do ANYTHING to keep from giving a normal cost of living increase to employees, more than the 30 cent raise last year. shame shame shame on them.

OMG we can't pay enough has it is. But you are suggesting we pay a top secret department that monitors websites. Wonder if they work from their moms basement?
Plus if you want to leave retail leave and go to another retailer I'm sure it will be all better at that company.

Not a shill here. I loved working for the company. Got kicked out for not living in the store after my heart attack. Store manager wanted more and more with staff that just wasn’t up to the task. Couldn’t fire them , cause they were the store managers friends.
Why do you have to be a shill for being an ex employee and posting here? I am an ex employee and not paid by them or anyone else to post my disdain for the way the company is ran and how employee's are treated. If posting about "how much better you feel after you leave" touches one person who reads this board and they get out, I feel like I have helped someone save themselves from wasted time and disappointment.
Perhaps its hard for some of us to let go and its why we still visit and post here. When you invest so much into a company only to be let down and disappointed and come to realization you need to move on and do so, you feel a certain way. I know at least I do, I cant speak to everyone who posts here.
Unless you are 20-30, LGBTQ, Male and any other race but white you have no place in this company any longer. Look at the faces of who is replacing the hoards of store level and regional executives who are leaving. Its a 25 year old fresh out of college knows nothing about the business BUT is a LGBTQ male who wears a tight pastel colored suit.
I love how you were downvoted for making sense. It must be therapeutic for them to just come here and complain instead of actually doing something to improve their situation.
And for those that said they quit and they've never been happier, why are you here complaining? Go do something meaningful.
One question for you.....why do unhappy people stay? The job market is fantastic right now. Instead of posting nasty comments, leave.
