Thread regarding GlobalFoundries layoffs

How long before layoffs continue?

Some say January, but I don't buy that. The management needs more than a few weeks to see how things are working after the latest round and if they can even afford to cut any more employees without causing disruptions in work. I'm guessing maybe March or April.

I would think not before March but I didn’t think the pivot would happen as early as it did after the layoff before (just two months apart)

Next round of layoffs will be announced precisely two weeks after TC sells $15M worth of his stocks after announcing another spectacularly successful Q1 update & forward looking outlook to wall street

The group that was just laid off and listed on the Warn Act are on the payroll until March 17, 2 weeks prior to Q1 close. Next round will in be enacted 2 weeks prior to Q2 Close.

That's right, you're guessing. Nothing concrete, just pure speculation and fear mongering.
