I wish I had an electric car now.

Our president says coal and oil are the best and windmills ki-l fish, birds, and koalas.
@10d hahaha
Propaganda and made up numbers. My EV compares to a BMW at similar price. ZERO maintenance in 20 months. Home chargers are not required nor as expensive as your fake info. Love my EV.
Why be so dependent on oil? One economist recently wrote that the US has not suffered as much from the folly in Iran because we are much less dependent on oil and have alternatives. But please go get your gas and diesel. Enjoy
@2y9 the grapes are sour
Here's a fair article that discusses both sides https://www.cnn.com/2026/05/02/business/beijing-auto-show-china-evs-intl-hnk

Try again, Mary.
This thread is full of BS. Look BYD is overproduced, sinking and needs a place to dump unsupported, dubious quality junk for cheap. End of story. Propagandize something else.
@13t My first loyalty is to America not a company.
Especially a dishonest one
All you need to know about BYD and the whole EV scam...

"BYDs are in big demand in countries where they're not protecting legacy companies by preventing their sales."
You must not be a GM employee.
Otherwise why cheer on the loss of your job?
How foolish! You don’t want an electric car? Well, you’d be paying the equivalent of $2.50 per gallon in electricity. Plus, you’d need to add on an extra $3,000 or more for a home charger, and another $15,000 for a comparable electric vehicle to what you’d drive in its gas equivalent. Don’t forget the extra $1,000 to $2,000 per year in insurance. So, are you really looking to save money with an electric vehicle? What’s your break-even point in 20 years? And what about the resale value? Do the math. Electric vehicles are how the limousine liberals are pushing Chinese dependence under the guise of “CO2” emission covervatorship, never mind the environmental damage caused by the mining required to produce those batteries.
BYDs are in big demand in countries where they're not protecting legacy companies by preventing their sales.
And electricity is cheap, way cheaper than gas, unless you're subsidizing Elon Musk by paying for the water and electricity he needs for his data centers.
.....because electricity is so very cheap now and EV's are also very cheap and have great resale value. /s
Thank you know who
