Thread regarding Lenovo layoffs

Intel influence undermining IDG

Intel’s influence has quietly spread through Lenovo, specifically within IDG. There has been a clear shift in how things operate, and it is becoming harder to ignore. Leadership influence there now appears closely tied to Intel, and it shows in the decisions being made.
There is a strong sense of internal favoritism around that group. The same people continue to support each other, even when results are poor. At some point, it no longer looks like cohesion and starts to look like a lack of accountability.
The impact is obvious. Execution feels slower, more layered, and less effective. Energy is lower, confidence is slipping, and it is being noticed. It no longer feels like the same organization in that part of the business.

They’re great at making named themes that every email and PowerPoint deck references but ultimately are nothing but monumental wastes of time.
