Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Macys pays executives for not paying associates

Quite simply, the reason Macys does not want to pay a living wage, and the reason union negotiations broke down in San Francisco, is because the money that is intended to go into the pockets of store level hourly employees, is going into the pockets of senior executives in the form of a bonus. Some executives are getting a bonus of six figures.

No... Store Management must use all payroll to score high on the scorecard. You use what you have but don't go over. There is no bonus for coming in under.

You can't make a living wage because you live in San Francisco

Correction! Macy’s management and corporate executives make the Macy’s culture toxic and hostile.
Store managers are paid big bonuses to keep the payroll at the absolute minimum. The money that they don’t pay hourly workers goes into their own pockets as well as the lying corporate officers who run Macys.
Jeff Gannett made 11. 8 million dollars in 2021. That is a shame. The rank and file are worked to death and this crook made 11.8 million. It is corporate greed and a total disgrace.

Why do you care? Don’t like it? Move on!!
To many complainers and whiners at this company, which makes it toxic.

So many other jobs and opportunities out there for you that actually care about their workforce.
