Alright folks. Getting close to end of the year….any confirmation on the rumor going around that Vision Center Manager role is being eliminated, to be replaced by a salaried “Health and Wellness” coach role, to oversee OTC, VC, and HBA?

They will eliminate the VCM role, create a new H&W Coach role, and require everyone to apply.
They will not make VCM salaried, If anything they would put them in Div1; and have an Asst pick up that area.
To add to the most recent post, there’s not many pharmacists that should be in market director roles either. They promote pharmacists to that role that really know nothing of running a business whether it’s pharmacy or vision, but promoted because they’re buddy-buddy.
The VCAM rumor has been going on for almost a decade. In reality, there are very few over-the-top Opticians with the educational background to put them in consideration for a role at this level.
Unless home office changed their minds again, vCam was scrapped. It seems like the focus now is making VCM salaried at the beginning of the year.

I was a team lead, a damn good one, as my coach said but had to step down for family reasons (very I’ll parent).
I’ve been a team lead since position was created. It’s a job go in do your job and go home I made more money this year than I’ve ever made in 20 years at Walmart. Stop whining it’s called work for a reason.
