New Aruba ordering system

Does anybody know to make the new Aruba part ordering setup work ?
People tell me they order parts and some of them never arrive.
Non stock parts don't go through. Those prices are too much on Aruba, 5 gal. paint is $144, at big box store it's $99. 12v battery is $75 at discount store, it's $145 on Aruba.
UP not saving any money with new system.

We're not allowed to buy things on the UP credit cards. We are forced to use Ariba ordering system.

The new system isn't meant to work. It's the Vena way to trim overall cost, and that's all it will ever be. Just looking at the locomotives that the UP has, it's stunning that they even move freight. Anyone know what the NS has for a parts ordering system. Any bets on whether or not they have the same system? It would make sense considering that Vena is hoping that the merger happens. If it does happen, then that would make the NS easier to incorporate into the UP system.

BNSF does the same bull c--p. They source everything through grainger who jacks the price up by two to three times the price, not to mention the shipping you have to pay when you could go down town and get the same part the same day. I dont understand this thinking at all. Let the employees buy from the market place and find the best price on the same items. This is a definite way to stay competitive is to either get rid of this ordering system or comb through it and make the items that are 3x the price unavailable to buy. They need to have more options on amazon, home depot, etc. Trust their employees and the managers can look through receipts to ensure accountability.

Deff an inside owned company for a handful of the uppers to skim more off the railroad. Funny how they force ya to use it versus saving and getting it from an outside source

I’ll bet Aruba is owned by someone on the board of directors or the family of. That’s how it works when you’re high up in a company. You siphon the profits off by inflated prices from a vendor who doesn’t have to compete.
