Thread regarding Resideo Technologies layoffs

I don't care anymore

I am not saying that I would like to be laid off, it is much better to find another job and then leave. However, now when I hear some rumor about layoffs, I almost don't care anymore. I used to be very anxious, I guess because I cared much more about keeping my job here.
How much do you care about keeping your job here? I am less and less interested in it and it seems to me that most of my colleagues feel the same.

Sadly software in Rezi is a joke…. And the joke starts at the top. And directors a such a joke it’s not even funny anymore.
We are rezi!

Is tridimum a supremacist club in honeywell?

What a bunch of id--ts

What is a tridium team of team people talk about? Some kind of layoff group that glows in the dark? Can someone explain that stuff??

tridium is composed of real stars. I haven’t found that in Rezi…. Quality of people matter not what they are paid or what they say.
Freedom to drive is another way of saying freedom to milk.
We need some change at the director levels to make this team of team a reality

The comment on the id--ts from honeywell buildings seems targetted toward Tridium people who have freedom to drive. It seems internal war is the main activity of Resideo. Unfortunately, this is not sellable and should not resonate very well with the trust that is step 1 of "teams of teams"

Just be careful around those incompetent software directors -especially if you are a woman. Rezi is a crazy dangerous place indeed since invaded by id--ts from honeywell buildings

Or just become a fellow…. There is a reason Honeywell gave us those fellows we have… all talk and can’t do anything but toot their own ho-n.
Remember the baldy one lurking in the GV parking lot…
That location is the armpit of the losers and nincompoops so very much

Why do we even have project management when we are supposedly agile….

Don’t leave. Just learn the way to produce BS and learn on the job. Document the incompetence of leadership and their minions and pull your incriminating evidence when being challenged.
We in software can easily double any timeline or even triple or quadruple it.
A buddy did all this and left to work for amazon after having learned on the job during the famous titan project. Never looked back even once!

We in the software org have to be more careful. “Leadership” is behaving erratically and are masters at blaming others for their own incompetence and insulting / threatening routinely everyone to boot. We don’t understand how those people ever got any management position. They are toxic indeed.

And don’t forget if anything is produce make sure to take credit even if it doesn’t bring any real revenue. How do you think those project people get promo and money? That’s the way.

I thought the open office environment they wasted a boatload of money on in Melville a few years back fixed all of that! :)

I care a lot less. We're bombarded with this "Team of Teams" stuff, but we all know we're just here to react to impulsive and irrational decisions from the top. It's hard to get enthusiastic about that.

I just smile and make it look like I work and keep plenty of e-mail trace and I can continue riding the gravy train like those directors and VPs

As long as you can fake work and lay blame elsewhere you’re good.
Just make sure you have emails that can trace cr-p to someone else…
And towards the end of any project make sure you push for the most expensive way to make it work, that way you worked for a year or more and you don’t have to produce anything
