Anyone very interested in the severance?

Several years ago they changed the plan a few months before a layoff…there are some real l-wlifes in the tower. I’d be careful what you wish for
@g9 CIC has nothing to do with the way a transaction is “labeled”. There are certain thresholds that must be met that triggers change in control. That is what decides if you get CIC or severance.
@ja sounds like a perfect match with similar cultures
@g8 you were wise to leave. Devon is not a choice employer and hasnt been for some time. Very toxic work environment. Paralyzing favoritism and a CEO who ONLY thinks of himself. I was hoping for change, but it will be more of the same but in a different state. There are some fantastic people here at Devon, unfortunately none of them are in charge or are in roles that matter. I look forward to detoxing from this place.
I often wonder if execs label a transaction a merger instead of an all out acquisition take over because it saves the company over 300 million in in change of control payouts
The day they showed the formula for the severance was also my last day with CTRA. You don’t deserve a 2 weeks notice for that kind of number. Already on my new job that provides the same amount of weeks pay if I decide to have a 4th child and take the provided 6 week paternity leave. How laughable, it’s just the run of the mill “we are going to layoff 10 people” sort of a package.
I'm on the CTRA side, and I'm sure interested
Severance? What severance? It is a joke and might get you all the way to the Red River. And if you don’t take it, good luck finding a decent home in Houston or Midland.
Houston is not a good place to live. Trust us. Cheap housing is all it had and that’s gone too
I want a free move out of OKC, so nah
