Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

10 year Anniversary of ACT (2016)

As we come up to the 10 year Anniversary of ACT 2026, We can look at Intel so fondly of how well it has blossom (into a flaming pile of tu-ds!!!).

Curious to those who left during ACT 2016, how has life been after your departure? Is the Grass truly Greener on the Other side? Do you miss those yearly focal reviews? Do you miss those time-consuming Meetings? Do you miss the BS shenanigans that Intel is known for (aka Constructive Confrontation, or just Confrontational without the Construction? Kinda like IDC!)? Or the Empty promises from Management in QGS after every quarter? (Just like Intel Foundry :) )

Feel free to share your thoughts and feelings. Remember, its a safe space, even from BK. (Hopefully he didn't show you one of his drones).

was nudged to leave and was VSP'ed in 2015 but had also reached rule of 75. Lucky for me or I would have never left. Last 11 years have been the best 11 years of my career. Yes grass was truly greener in my case, or maybe I got lucky. Just try. BTW, BK the worst CEO of Intel by far. Andy Grove the best ever!

I still have the letter that they sent to me about ERP notice right in front of me has I type this. I was on sabbatical at the time, it was dated May 3, 2016. I came back from sabbatical and told NO, that I would leave on my time. I stayed seven more years and retired in 2023.

It is good that the era of extreme work-place viOlence is mostly over and that there have not been too many more major problems, and fewer M-rde-rs also. Let's pray for a better future with hopefully at least 1 or 2 honest senior leaders in the future.

ACT 2016 was ugly.

I left at 2024 with VSP and fat package.

Life is sweet and healthy now

INTEL was good, now sh-t
