Anything in particular that they do or what we should watch for to let us know they are going to either lay us off or force us to quit?

As bad as Optum is, I've never heard of someone being asked to quit. I don't even know if that is legal as I think it would lead to lawsuits.
@g6 making working conditions so uncomfortable that you quit is called constructive discharge
@g6 it’s called constructive discharge, look it up and educate yourself
Before a lay off? Don’t assign you work and / or ignore you.
As someone who has been through this I can say the first thing was my boss becoming a micromanager when they never were before. About a month ahead of time asking for a list of projects and then frequently asking for updates, who the stakeholders were, etc. Pushing to finish the projects asap (so they didnt have to take it on when I was cut later). No new work added while others are getting double and starting to sit in on my meetings. I saw the writing on the wall but it all worked out for the best.
Put you know a CAP formerly known as a PIP. Treat you poorly telling you your work is bad, or there’s no work for you, give you unreasonable deadlines or assignments.
@OP WTF are you asking? Forced you to quit? Nobody is forced to quit.
Were you drunk at when you asked this?
