Thread regarding GlobalFoundries layoffs

There are many reasons to leave

This has not been a place that appreciates talent for a long time now. GF has proved it in many ways. The company could have been much better, however the most talented are the least valued and there is no hope that GF will get back on track. There are too many reasons to leave. I wonder if there is any reason at all to try and keep a job here anymore?

GloFo is "where the rejects,... and outright criminals go" - yes, indeed.
Why else would it replace a respectable CFO with the person who has been sued recently Class Action suite by the investors? Ref. Infamous Class Action Suit-

I think about this daily. At one time I thought ok this is good opportunity to advance quickly since everyone else is leaving. But as you mention it doesn’t appear Globalfoundries appreciate hard work and talents.

My recently had an epiphany that has led to a new theory;
Globalfoundries is where the rejects, flunkies, castaways, untouchables and outright criminals go to when they have nowhere else to go, and all doors are closed to them throughout the semiconductor industry.

A lot of times these bad characters have their own minions, clingers and subordinates who are very loyal to them. These subordinates know their leader is bad or corrupt but see the advancement of their own individual careers through their association with them outweigh any negative aspects they witness or participate in.

So my theory is that these bad individuals bring these subordinates with them, or start to create their own personal network when they arrive at globalfoundries, and it is these people that get the unwarranted and unearned promotions.

Loyalty to bad actors and buying their silence or looking other way.
