Anyone else hear of others getting put on so called coaching plans? I was put on one last fall and somehow made it out. Others weren’t so fortunate. Hearing about some others here lately that have been put on them during Q3

True. In my team of 21, 2 folks have been put on coaching plan, one on PIP. And this in only what I know of. All these guys are g10-g12, blue badges, real hard workers. Looks like mgmt got some quotas they must fulfill.
A coaching plan you can recover from. You can move jobs and you are still bonus eligible. PIP totally different. No bonus or movement. To add - you more than likely have been a pain and have already had a coaching plan if you get hit with a PIP. In either case you are at risk more than the ones that listened or performed accordingly. Also, neither are needed to LR a person.
Who cares at this point, honestly?
Two years.
Within two years, probably you and everyone you know at Cisco will be gone.
Do you not see the new faces from Bangalore spawning like video game NPCs? Last team I worked with...they were completely re-orged and swallowed into a Bangalore reporting chain and now have been reduced to doing odd-jobs in support of projects that are now directed and staffed from Bangalore.
Do you really think Cisco is going to keep people in North America on at 3x Bangalore pay, just doing support and odd-job work?
Coaching, PIP, LR...who cares. Its all moving toward the same conclusion. I don't doubt that a few people here and there will survive, but most won't. This is not hypothetical.
Don’t redeem it!
Cisco standard practice in torturing employees to bow out and quit. This practice accelerates during time of staff reduction and RIF specially near earnings.
Cisco way to avoid paying severance. Try to avoid if you can. It’s not pretty.
