Stop your whining, whimpering, and su-k it up. If the additional cost of gas is going to bankrupt you then maybe consider DoorDashing on your way home from the office. Just face the fact that you don't want to work in the office and stop justifying excuses.

Agree that they’ve made it clear they do not care. My (small) pushback is not spending a dime at the office.

Sycamore’s priorities are clear - they are not factoring in external realities like geopolitical instability or rising commuting costs. The push for a four-day in-office requirement, without ANY corresponding merit increase, signals that employee cost burdens are NOT a consideration of Sycamore. Sycamore’s focus is simply on ensuring corporate employees are physically present to maintain oversight and consistency of work during business hours.
