Sorry to hear that Buddy, but with that many years service in, Baker treat you as a high level target for redundancy rather than an asset.
Like many of us, you will have to come to terms with the uncomfortable truth that Baker do not, & did not, value your experience in any metric, however they do see a cost down against your head.
To the younger narcissistic management, you are seen as a threat rather than a skills & experience base that can be exploited for company gain.
My advice to you is to hold your head high, move forward, & never look back, knowing you did the best job you could, & it was never a failure on your part, only theirs.
A life without Baker is a better life – believe me on that one.
